Sara Gehren é socióloga e professora, com bacharel pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro e licenciatura pela Universidade Federal Fluminense. Atualmente, é pós-graduanda do Colégio Pedro II, se especializando em Educação das Relações Étnico-Raciais no Ensino Básico. Desde 2016 trabalha com o fotodocumentarista João Roberto Ripper no projeto de conservação de seu acervo fotográfico. Como fotógrafa, desenvolve documentação focada nas temáticas das populações tradicionais, dos movimentos sociais e de organização e educação popular. Desde 2014, vem acompanhando as manifestações no Rio de Janeiro. Documentou as ocupações secundaristas e universitárias de 2016 e o cotidiano da Casa Mãe Mulher, espaço de acolhimento para mães e familiares que visitam seus filhos em cumprimento de Medidas Socioeducativas na unidade CAI-Baixada, do DEGASE, em 2018 e 2019. Sara Gehren is a sociologist and teacher, with a bachelor's degree from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and a licentiate from the Universidade Federal Fluminense. She is currently a post-graduate student at Colégio Pedro II, specializing in Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations in Basic Education. Since 2016 she has been working with the photo documentarist Joao Roberto Ripper in the conservation project of his photographic collection. As a photographer, she develops documentation focused on the themes of traditional populations, social movements, and popular organization and education. Since 2014, she has been following the demonstrations in Rio de Janeiro. She documented the high school and university occupations in 2016 and the daily life of Casa Mãe Mulher, a welcoming space for mothers and family members who visit their children in compliance with Socio-Educational Measures in the CAI-Baixada unit, of DEGASE, in 2018 and 2019. Currently, he is documenting, through Ação da Cidadania, the significant increase in hunger in the country together with João Ripper and Breno Lima.
